Is there a Hammer config I can get to make custom maps?

You should be able to do this yourself pretty easily, though before the SDK launcher lets you edit your configs, you still need to have at least one config first for some reason. I usually just copy one of the default configs from the other engine versions and then edit it from the SDK launcher/Hammer.

But to save you some time, put this in \common\SourceSDK\bin\source2007\bin\GameConfig.txt. You might need to edit some of the paths first.

you shouldn't need "GameData1" "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SourceSDK\bin\source2007\bin\base.fgd"


the nightfire.fgd already includes base.fgd

speaking of which, here is the latest fgd for it with the ammo/weapon entities included:
