Question about original bots

Post by TsooJ » 1 year ago

Hi everyone,

I was working on editing some maps for friends to play in. But I realized I had forgotten all "bot waypoint" commands.

Anyway, I can't find any documentation online and offline about these bot waypoints. I know it's possible because I edited some in the past. I tried sv_waypoint 1 but that doesn't change a thing?

Could you guys help me out with some basic commands, like showing/loading, add, delete and save for instance? (I'm using the most recent version of the game btw.)

Any help would be appreciated :)

Hi,

I can!

searched many of my hardrives and finally found it :)

################BEGIN################

sv_waypoint 1 : enable waypoint editing
sv_waypoint 0 : disable waypoint editing

waypoint on : Displays waypoints
waypoint off : Stops displaying waypoints

waypoint load : Loads waypoints from file
waypoint save : Saves waypoints to file

waypoint add : Adds a waypoint
waypoint delete : Deletes a waypoint

pathwaypoint enable : Enables the auto-generation of paths
pathwaypoint disable : Disables the auto-generation of paths

pathwaypoint on : Displays paths from waypoints when you are close
: to a waypoint
pathwaypoint off : Stops displaying paths from waypoints.

pathwaypoint create1 : Sets the waypoint you are at as the waypoint to
: create a path FROM.
pathwaypoint create2 : Completes the path from the waypoint set in 'create1'
: to this waypoint

pathwaypoint remove1 : Sets the waypoint you are at as the waypoint to
: remove a path FROM.
pathwaypoint remove2 : Removes the path from the waypoint set in 'remove1'
: to this waypoint

#################END#################

Good luck!

Hi Fritz,

Very nice and I thank you for it.

Funny thing is, I was just about to post the commands myself. :) Yesterday, I found the script you were talking about in-game. I can't really get it to work with the new patch, but the commands are in the cfg files.

This link > http://onlynoob.webs.com/Downloads.htm and its called (Maurits' Nightfire Bot WayPoint Script)

Anyway to add to your documentation: (important command)

################BEGIN################

waypoint tag <number> (gives the waypoint a specific function for the bots)

0 //team 1
(don't know how this works, probably waypoint for only this team MI6)

1 //team 2
(team PHX)

2 //team 3
(I dont know what team 3 and 4 are)

3 //team 4
(I dont know what team 3 and 4 are)

4 //team specific
(I have no idea? Please post if you know)

8 //crouch
(Bot will crouch on this waypoint)

16 //ladder
(Bot will climb the selected ladder)

64 //door
(Bot will open a door)

256 //weapon
(Bot will prioritize this waypoint to get a weapon)

512 //health
(Bbot will prioritize this waypoint when health is low)

1024 //ammo
(Bot will prioritize this waypoint when ammo is low )

8192 //flag
(This is probably the "getting point" in combination with team (didn't test it yet))

16284 //flag capture
(This is probably the "capture point" in combination with team (didn't test it yet) Also this tag is not removeable)

32768 //jump
(Bot will jump on this waypoint)

65536 //grapple
(Bot will use grapple from this waypoint)

131972 //grapple target
(I have no idea what this does, 65536 does the trick for me.)

262144//use
(Bot will "use" on this waypoint, for example "use" the floortrap in dm_island)

#################END#################
