A player gave me an idea.. he asked if i used a modded cross-hair... i've only used the original and painted it red rather than use the standard MI6 blue years ago. (it's standard and blue again now)
In source maybe it would be good that Team MI6 have Blue crosshairs and Team Phoenix are Red. This would be very subtle but a nice touch. Maybe patched for the original NF also. :ugeek:
What do you think guys?

Yeah I think it's great for Phoenix to have red crosshair instead of blue.

So far I know, Source has his own built-in crosshair settings.
cl_crosshairstyle
cl_crosshaircolor
cl_crosshairthickness
cl_crosshairgap
cl_crosshairusealpha
cl_crosshairscale
cl_crosshair_outline
cl_crosshairdot
etc.
Will check it out if NF:S got the same system. Changing the color for one team blue for the other red makes it unfair, because with one color you can better see in dark / bright rooms.
edit: Yeah NF:S got a sort of same system
cl_crosshairscale
cl_crosshaircolor_red (0 - 255)
cl_crosshaircolor_blue (0 - 255)
cl_crosshaircolor_green (0 - 255)
cl_crosshairalpha
And cl_crosshair_file. It seems that you can change the crosshair texture

Awww, They should be an option to keep the original or keep the Source version, same sort of set up as CS:GO.
Edit: idea, Make the Source version green that's the easiest color the human eye can see, Also you could make some color blind presets. :ugeek:

cl_crosshair_file crosshair1 (standard setting) is the original Nightfire setting.
Only now you can change the color, scale, transparency and add a different crosshair file at:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\sourcemods\nfsourcesdk2013\materials\vgui\crosshairs
edit:
changing the crosshair color now for example:
cl_crosshaircolor_red 255
cl_crosshaircolor_blue 0
cl_crosshaircolor_green 0
Will make the crosshair less effective, since the standard reference crosshair file has a blue color.
For now
cl_crosshaircolor_red 0
cl_crosshaircolor_blue 255
cl_crosshaircolor_green 0
Is the best setting.
