What type of anti-cheat measures will NF:S use, if any? I'm Curious. What can you tell us about this?

Nightfire Source will be available on Steam? maybe not.. or one of the requirements for use of Source engine? or i'm completely wrong?

VAC is part of the SDK Base. Any mod using the Source SDK can use it.

I should of researched it a bit more and i could of answered my own queston. i presumed it was along those lines.

You need a Source Engine game first, then you can play any source mod. Nightfire could well be listed on Steam, but I don't think it's time for that yet. There is the GreenLight system, where the community decides if the game is fit for the main Steam store. As this is supposed to stay free (I hope), it is unlikely that this will be done (for example, see the GE:Source project).

you don't need to buy a source game anymore to play a source mod. source is entirely free now unless you want to play one of valve's own source games

Given that TF2, a Source game, is free; that's fairly sensible :D
